Dato’ Haji Mohamed Shukri Bin Mohamed Zain
In 1996, Dato’ Mohamed Shukri together with some partners incorporated a logistics company, MayGlobe Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd. He was one of the major shareholders and served as the group managing director from the inception of the company until late 2006.
He is currently the managing director of Nano Quest (M) Sdn Bhd, a company which treats palm oil mill effluent in two palm oil mills belonging to the Federal Land Consolidation And Rehabiltation Authority (FELCRA). Nano Quest ensures that the discharge of the mills conforms to the requirements and parameters of the Malaysian Department of Environment.
He also oversees the management of Omcorp Sdn Bhd, a family owned food producing factory that supplies beef and chicken powder to NESTLE Malaysia.
He was a director and shareholder of Greater Tampin Oto Sdn Bhd, a Honda distributor in Negeri Sembilan. He later disposed of his shareholdings and resigned as a director from the company in 2022.
Dato’ Mohamed Shukri was also appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Luster Industries Berhad, a company listed in the KLSE in March 2010. He was a member of the Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee. He also served as the chairman of the Luster’s Nominating Committee. He resigned from the board on the 29th of May 2023.
He is also very passionate in ensuring the safety and harmony of his community having served as president of the Desa Sri Hartamas Residents’ Association for several years from 2011. Dato’ Mohamed Shukri is also a core member of Save Kuala Lumpur (SKL), a non-profit organization set-up to champion sustainable development in Kuala Lumpur.
He is married Tengku Datin Shaliza bte Tengku Dato’ Shamsul Bahari and is father of 3 girls and 3 boys.
